KARAN BUTANI – DIRECTOR
After graduating from Whistling Woods International, he started working with Mr. Tigmanshu Dhulia as Associate director for 5 years. He worked on the movies like, Paan Singh Tomar, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns and most recently Yaara. He directed quite a few commercials and campaigns like, ‘We love SRK’ for #FAME; ‘#Nothing will Happen’ with stand-up comedian Atul Khatri for AEGON Religare Life Insurance; #Flower ka power for Tata Tea; an internal film for TANISHQ captioned, “Tanishq – Karigar”; Ad film for CSK and Amrapali Group, featuring, M.S. Dhoni, Irrfan Pathan, Mohit Sharma and others during the IPL 2015.
The campaign ‘Pimp Your Soul’ for Puma Internationals directed by him won Cannes Lion in the year 2011 and few domestic digital awards. He also won digital awards for #FAME anthem and accolades for the Argon Religare digital films. He recently directed his debut feature film with Tigmanshu Dhulia as its presenter, which is to be released this year.
